ADIML as a Remote VA with Time Stamps
Time management is my love language. If it can be color-coded, scheduled, or blocked on a calendar, I’m in. There’s just something about filling my day beginning to end with things that leave me feeling accomplished by bedtime. So here’s a day in my life as a Virtual Assistant and Business Owner with time stamps:
6am: Abruptly wake up to my google home turning on my lights, “good morning it is 6am” then goes on to tell me the weather, and what is on my calendar for the day. Get dressed (most important when working from home), stretch, gratitude, and affirmations
6:30am: Make breakfast enjoy coffee, and let Kitty have some outside time, and journal
7am: Log on to job #1, check emails, tend to urgent matters
8am: Log on to job #2, the office and phones are open, reaching out to emails from the night before, calls, texts, any last minute changes to the schedule to ensure success for employees.
9am: Snack & break time!
9:15am-12pm: Tend to emails for clients numbers 3-6 and daily to do tasks. Answer phone calls for offices that are open and tend to customer service.
12pm: Lunch & break time!
1pm-4pm: Open office/meeting hours for all clients. Tend to open projects. Continue to answer phones and manage customer service.
4pm: Business is closed for the day!
4:15pm: Recess (Yes, I named it that.) Gym, run, or workout class.
5:30pm: Shower + self-care. Non-negotiable.
6pm: Dinner
7pm: Reading a book, bingeing a show, or falling into the TikTok black hole of doomscrolling. Balance, right?
9pm: STRICT bedtime and phone on “Do Not Disturb" to rest to do it all again!
Honorable mention to my reward days: out to lunch Thursday once a month, and buy my coffee Friday every week!
Is this routine suspiciously modeled after the Texas public education system I grew up in? Absolutely. But hey, if it works, don’t fix it.
